The project will generate:

Knowledge of current living donor follow-up practices.

A standardized living donor follow-up methodology, analyzing the donors' perception of the donation process as well as their psychosocial well-being and quality of life.

A standardized recipient’s follow-up methodology.

A strategy for living donor evaluation that will allow:

• To detect negative consequences in areas analyzed, including the impact related to the recipient’s outcome.
• To detect donor and recipient risk factors that correlate with poor evolution of the living donor.
• To take measures to prevent negative outcomes.

Harmonisation in the European area of living donor follow-up studies will contribute to guaranteeing a high quality of living donation programs.
